Non-Stick Cooking Grates

With a ceramic coating, the non-stick grates ensure that your food is evenly cooked and easy to clean. They are rust-resistant and can easily be removed for quick cleaning. The shells of the grill can also be wiped down for a fast take-down, so that you can continue your adventures. Make sure you let the BBQ cool down before you disassemble.

Check this tutorial with advice how to clean the nomadiQ.

Be careful when you use any sharp or metal utensils on the grates or the grill itself. They will damage the non-stick coating. Treat them the same as your non-stick cookware and use nylon, wood or silicone utensils. Make sure you always season the grates with some vegetable oil before grilling. This will improve the anti-stick performance and durability of the grates. Check our FAQ for more tips and tricks.

The same guidelines should be followed for the grill plate.

I was interested in the nomadiq bbq until I read about the ceramic coating on the grill plates. With more and more evidence showing that the chemicals on non stick frying pans, grills etc are linked to cancer. I will stick to cast iron or stainless steel, it may weigh a little more but for piece of mind and health reasons that’s the way we all should be going.

Steve Ceramic coatings are free from toxins. Teflon coatings I believe are the issue and are not allowed to be used in some countries.

Is there a video showing the clean and pack up? Interested where the grease trap is and how you deal with that mess before you close it up.
    Cool BBQ 👍

Hi Ian, all you need to do is a quick wipe with a paper towel which will get the majority of the mess and then close and you can give a final clean with a BBQ wipe or wet cloth once home or stopped.

Ian yes however all you need to do is use a paper towel then a BBQ wipe or warm soapy cloth.
